- TRIP is short for
the Transportation
Reimbursement and Information Project
- an award winning, nationally acclaimed, social transportation program that complements rail,
fixed route and special public transportation services in Riverside County,
California.
Many transportation options
are available
for non-drivers in Riverside County. Most of us, while we continue to
drive, don’t think about other transportation options that might be
available in the area in which we live. Nor do we think about how we
would be able to get to the doctor, do our shopping, or travel for
other purposes IF we were suddenly unable to use our car.
Transportation always
comes up as the “biggest problem” for those of us who lose our ability
to use our car, or lose our spouse who may have been the primary
driver. We hear many people say, “There is no transportation where I
live.” In most cases, that isn’t true – it is just that we don’t
know about the transportation we have available. Visit the
public transit services listed below to find out what they provide in
your area:
Riverside Transit Agency
SunLine Transit
Agency
Palo
Verde Valley Transit Agency
City of Banning
City of Beaumont
City of Corona
City of Riverside
Measure A Specialized Transit
Also, many religious groups, medical facilities, some senior centers,
grocery stores and service organizations operate small transportation
services for their members, customers or clients. For example, the
Braille Institute, Aids Projects, Veterans Services and the Sharp
Medical Center all provide some transportation services. Others help
pay the expense of transportation. Check with all of the
organizations to which you belong or that provide you with services to
find out if they have special transportation services available for
your use.
is
a one of the special services in Riverside County that complements public transportation by
reimbursing volunteers to transport individuals where no transit
service exists or when the individual is too frail, ill, or unable to
use public transportation for other reasons. Click below to
