MISSION STATEMENT

The Independent Living Partnership works to ensure the independence and dignity of the elderly and persons with disabilities, their families and caregivers through education and access to empowering services and resources.

 CORE VALUES

We are committed to the empowerment of older adults, people with disabilities, and their caregivers through collaborative and cooperative partnering with public and private organizations, agencies and businesses to implement programs and activities that motivate, educate, and promote the maintenance of a healthy and independent life style.

VISION

Communities and households where older adults and all people with disabilities can live successfully, with dignity and purpose, and with ample choices that support and promote independence.

PURPOSE

To advocate for and help people lead more satisfying and rewarding lives, often in spite of significant health and mobility challenges, through life enriching programs and activities that educate, motivate, strengthen or rebuild social networks, and assist individuals to access needed human and social services.

A Board of 13 Directors is authorized to govern the activities and programs of the organization. Directors are elected for two year terms by the board from public applicants and the Executive Committee, consisting of a President, a Vice President, a Treasurer, and a Secretary of the Board, serve a one year term of office. All Board positions are non-paid positions and directors volunteer their time and expertise as a public service.

Open Board meetings are generally held every other month on the second Thursday. Persons wishing to be notified of the time and place of regular meetings may email the Executive Director.

The programs of the organization are supported by funding from government agencies, foundations and organizations, and the charitable contributions of businesses and individuals. Sponsors for particular programs and projects are welcome.  If you, or your organization would like to make a charitable contribution, in any amount, to help support the programs and activities of non-profit Partnership, please use this secure link to contribute now:
